Ashram Kum Kum – 18 grams
Kum kum is a red powder used in India for social and religious markings.
It is made from the seeds of the flowers of Bixa Plant. It is a shrub, a natural orange-red condiment obtained from the waxy arils that cover it seeds.
Kum Kum is traditionally applied with the fourth finger of the right hand, after first moistening that fingertip with fragrant oil.
This red dot mark is placed on the space between the eyebrows, corresponding to the sixth chakra, which is considered the seat of the inner Guru.
It is mainly applied just before meditation or before participating in a puja, an act of worship.
